Introduction

Courtney Marie Thompson (“I,” “me,” “my”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit my website at courtneymariethompson.com or interact with my services as a California real estate agent.

I’m a licensed California real estate agent (DRE# 02031490) operating under Sync Brokerage, located at 17404 Ventura Blvd, Suite 110, Encino, CA 91316. This policy applies to information collected through my website. It does not cover offline interactions, listings shown through other platforms (like Zillow or Realtor.com), or services provided by third parties whose websites I may link to.

By using my website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or submit information through it.

Information I Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you submit one of the forms on my site, I collect:

• Home valuation requests: your name, email, phone number, and property address
• General contact submissions: your name, email, and the message you write

I only ask for information I genuinely need to respond to you. I don’t ask for sensitive categories like Social Security numbers, financial account details, health information, or government IDs through this site.

Information Collected Automatically

When you submit a form, my server automatically records:

• Your IP address
• Your browser’s user agent string (browser type and version)
• The date and time of submission

This information is collected for security purposes only — to detect and prevent automated spam submissions. It is not used to track you across the web.

Information Stored in Your Browser

The site uses your browser’s sessionStorage to remember small preferences during your visit (for example, whether you’ve already seen a swipe hint on a mobile carousel). This data:

• Stays in your browser only — it never reaches my servers
• Is automatically deleted when you close your browser tab
• Cannot be used to identify you across sessions or websites

The site does not use advertising cookies or advertising identifiers, and it does not load Facebook Pixel or any ad-network tracking scripts. It does, however, use privacy-conscious analytics to understand how the site is performing — described in the next section.

Analytics & Measurement

To understand how visitors find and use the site (which pages are viewed, where traffic comes from, and how the site performs), I use two analytics services:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — a web analytics service from Google. When enabled, it sets first-party analytics cookies (for example, _ga and related identifiers) to measure page views and aggregate, de-identified usage trends. I have IP-anonymization enabled and do not use GA4 for advertising or remarketing. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Vercel Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by my hosting provider, Vercel. It collects aggregated page-view and performance measurements and does not use this data to build advertising profiles. Vercel’s privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

These services help me improve the site. They are not used to sell your data or to serve you advertising. You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or a browser extension such as Google’s opt-out add-on, and you may exercise the California privacy rights described below.

How I Use Your Information

I use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your inquiry (return your call, prepare your home valuation, answer your question)
• Maintain a record of our communication for ongoing real estate services
• Comply with California real estate regulations, which require licensed agents to maintain certain client communication records
• Improve my service quality based on what people ask about

I do not use your information to:

• Send marketing emails (I don’t have a newsletter or marketing email program)
• Sell or rent to third parties
• Build advertising profiles
• Train AI or machine learning models

Who I Share Your Information With

I work with a small number of trusted service providers to operate my website. They process your data only on my behalf and are contractually required to keep it secure:

• Supabase, Inc. — provides the database where your form submissions are stored. Supabase is a US company that complies with CCPA. Their privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
• Resend, Inc. — sends me email notifications when you submit a form. Your form data is included in those email notifications. Resend’s privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Vercel, Inc. — hosts the website infrastructure and provides privacy-friendly Web Analytics. Vercel sees website traffic but does not store your form submissions. Their privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4, which I use to measure aggregated, de-identified website usage. Google processes this analytics data on my behalf. Their privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

I may also share your information when legally required — for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request. I would notify you of any such request when permitted by law.

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I have not sold any personal information in the previous 12 months and do not have any plans to do so.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know: You can request a copy of the personal information I have about you, including what categories I’ve collected, where it came from, why I collected it, and who I’ve shared it with in the past 12 months.
• Right to Delete: You can request that I delete the personal information I have about you, subject to certain legal exceptions (for example, I may need to retain some information to comply with real estate regulations or to defend legal claims).
• Right to Correct: You can request that I correct inaccurate personal information about you.
• Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. As stated above, I do not sell or share your information for advertising purposes.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: I will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You will continue to receive the same quality of service.

I will respond within 45 days as required by California law. To verify your identity, I may ask you to provide information that matches what’s already on file (for example, the email address you used to submit a form).

How Long I Keep Your Information

I retain your information for as long as it’s needed to provide the services you’ve requested and to maintain my real estate business records, which is generally indefinite for active or potential client relationships. You can request deletion at any time using the process above.

Data Security

I use industry-standard security practices to protect your information:

• Form data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted)
• Stored data is encrypted at rest by Supabase
• Access to the database is restricted by authentication and Row Level Security policies — only I, after logging in, can view submitted information
• I do not store passwords for visitor accounts (visitors don’t create accounts)

No system is 100% secure. If I become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, I will notify you as required by California law (Civil Code 1798.82).

Children’s Privacy

My services are intended for adults considering real estate transactions. The site is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through my site, please contact me at Mscourtneymariee@gmail.com and I will delete it.

Links to Other Websites

My site may link to external websites (for example, Sync Brokerage’s site, the California DRE, or social media platforms). I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies separately.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in my business practices or in the law. When I make changes, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated more prominently. Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
